The Pill’s Beer-Goggles Effect?

The contraceptive pill may mess with a woman’s subconscious chemistry enough that she’ll pick less-attractive men to partner up with for long-term relationships, research from Stirling University (Scotland) shows. While on birth control, some women think they’ve chosen the right mate, but once they enter into a long-term union such as a marriage and go off the pill, the study showed some become less sexually satisfied. The biology is complicated, but the survey’s lead author believes it’s linked to the hormones in oral birth control pills. Of course, it may have nothing to do with birth control; rather, it could be that their mates leave their underwear and socks all over the place, pick their noses and their butts as if there’s a gold rush going on, and think that farting out loud is cute.
