Don’t think working out with your lady will hold you back. Sports scientist Christina Jung found men work 12% harder in the gym when women are in close proximity to observe their efforts. Jung’s research showed that the added intensity for men when training with a woman also lowered their resting heart rate, decreasing men’s risk of a heart attack by more than 30%.
